About The Event

Join us for What’s Love Got to do with It - a six-week group that  helps Black women maintain their

safety, agency, and emotional wellness while navigating romantic relationships.

This is a closed group and takes place on Monday's from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM virtually in January and February. You must attend each group. 

Dates & Topics:

· 1/16/22: Love is, and Love isn’t Theme- defining signs and symptoms of domestic abuse. 

· 1/23/22: To Be Black and a Woman: describing how gender influences Black women’s experience with domestic abuse. 

· 1/30/22: Feeling is Healing: Theme- how to regulate emotions and communicate effectively. 

· 2/6/22: Surviving vs Thriving- Theme- how to cope with relationship trauma. 

· 2/13/22: Safe and Sound- Theme- creating safety plans to combat intimate partner violence. 

· 2/20/22: Visions for Love- Theme- envisioning healthy forms of love with vision boards.

All groups are facilitated by Madison Sparkman, BA and supervised by Candice Gant, LCSW.
