Join us for a special online film screening and panel discussion of the documentary Head to Head. Three women featured in the documentary Head to Head will discuss self-image, mental health and wellbeing after identity-related trauma.

 The film will be available online in advance of this panel. 

Panel discussion will feature Filmmaker Andrea Alberti, Ebony Jean, Stacey Jaimes -Herrera and moderated by Sista Afya's Executive Director, Camesha L. Jones, LCSW.

PANELIST/DIRECTOR

ANDREA ALBERTI

Andrea is a videographer, editor, and animator based in Chicago. In 2012, she co-founded the creative agency, Amelia Street Studio where she managed the video department and produced promotional video and digital content. She currently works at CAN TV as a Training Coordinator, where she directs, edits, and co-produces a monthly studio show for the Chicago Special Olympics with a crew of seven special needs athletes. Head to Head is Andrea's first feature-length documentary and was an official selection at Heartland International Film Festival, Milwaukee Film Minority Health Film Festival, Chi-town Multicultural Film Festival.

STACEY JAIMES-HERRERA

Stacey Jaimes-Herrera was born and raised in Chicago and was diagnosed with lupus at age sixteen. As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, she and her family struggled to navigate the complex medical system. Her experience motivated her to pursue a career in medicine. Stacey is passionate about health advocacy and hopes to care for underserved communities as a physician in the field of Family Medicine.

EBONY JEAN

Ebony Jean is an Advocate and Beauty Influencer for the Alopecia community. Since going public in 2016, Ebony has been sharing her hair loss story at national conferences and connecting with Legislators in Washington D.C. Throughout her time as a Legislative Liaison, she is working to help pass a Medical Bill that will benefit hair loss patients. Being a lover of all things beauty, Ebony is an affiliate for two major brands, taught makeup seminars, and has her own YouTube Channel.
